Pesta Nasi Lemak 1 Malaysia will be held on 4,5 dan 6 June 2010 at Tapak Pasar Tani Presint 2,Putrajaya from 10.00 a.m to 10.00 p.m. The event will be officiated by YB Dato’ Seri Utama Rais Yatim, Minister of Ministry Information, Communication & Culture. The programme aims to acknowledge the humble nasi lemak – Malaysia’s best loved food – as part of Malaysia heritage.
A nasi lemak cooking competition will be organized by Pertandingan Sri Warisan Event Management with the support of the Ministry of Information, Communication & Culture and Perbadanan Putrajaya to discover the chef with the best Nasi Lemak Recipe.
The competition is expected to attract 200-300 participants and 20,000 visitors. Some 10,000 free nasi lemak will be provided to visitors.
Other activities include karaoke and 1 Malaysia dance competitions as well as demonstration of Nescafe tarik, appearances of celebrity chefs, performances by local artistes, traditional music and dance, sales booths and many more.
